The Need Continues
With today's difficult economic climate, demand on our food pantry services remains very high:
- In 2007 we served 8,138 families (23,377 individuals) at our pantry site
- In 2007 we registered 563 new families as clients
- Over 700,000 pounds of food are distributed each year
- 641 children received gifts for the Christmas holiday
Donations of canned vegetables, soup, fruit, and tuna are needed and are always appreciated, especially during the upcoming holiday season. Monetary donations are also appreciated. We hope you keep the Food Pantry on your holiday giving list. Click here to donate online.
School Supply Distribution
This year for our special December Holiday Distribution, we will be giving schools supplies to the children rather than toys. With all the recent toy recalls, the board felt that giving children school supplies would be safer and more beneficial. We will be collecting the following for the children: crayons/markers, notebook paper/spiral notebooks, folders/paper for 3-ring binders, pens/pencils, coloring books/pads of paper, and backpacks. Items may be delivered to the Food Pantry beginning in November.
