The Need Continues
In today's challenging economic climate, demand on our food pantry services remains very high. We are now serving over 200 families every Tuesday. We are picking up an average of 8,000 pounds of food each week from the Greater Chicago Food Depository. In 2010:
- 6,071 different individuals received food
- An average of 1,054 families (3,317 individuals) received food each month
- Over 59,500 bags of food were distributed - that's almost 600,000 pounds of food
- 753 new families registered to receive food
Donations of canned vegetables, soup, fruit, and tuna are needed and are always appreciated, especially during these challenging economic times. Monetary donations are also appreciated. We hope you keep the Food Pantry on your giving list. Click here to donate online.
