About Us
Our Vision: We believe that no one in our
communities should ever suffer due to hunger.
Our Mission: As part of the global effort to
eliminate hunger, the CBS Anti-Hunger Foundation exists to reduce hunger
in our communities by collecting and distributing supplemental food and
other good to those in need, and by providing resources to help our
clients attain self-sufficiency.
Our Values:
- We believe that no one should go hungry regardless of race, creed, marital status, age, health, immigration status, or ability to work.
- We regard all people – staff, volunteers, clients and supporters – with dignity and respect.
- We believe that cooperation is crucial – we all need to work together.
- We act out of beliefs from our faith traditions.
The CBS Anti-Hunger Foundation is a member of the Greater Chicago
Food Depository and serves the communities of Cicero, Berwyn, and
Stickney, Illinois.
The CBS Anti-Hunger Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization. Donations
are tax deductible as allowed by law.

Those We Serve (2008):
- 5,559 different individuals received food
- An average of 973 families (3,004 individuals) received food each month in 2008
- Over 54,000 bags of food were distributed (540,000 plus pounds of food)
- 872 new families/individuals registered to receive food
- 440 families received food baskets for the winter/Christmas holiday
- 722 children received holiday gifts of school supplies
- 75% Latino, 18% Caucasian, 7% Afro-American
- 54% are 18 years old and younger, 5% are 60 years and older
